Nestle got its start in 1867, when German entrepreneur Henri Nestle created a milk formula to feed babies that could not be breastfed, and it was very popular. Eventually, he merged his company in 1905 with the Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company to create the Nestle Group, as it is now known.
