Hi-Chew

Hi-Chew began in 1865 with Japanese entrepreneur Taichiro Morinaga, who in 1899 began his candy business in Japan after visiting the United States and tasting candy for the first time. In 1918, Morinaga & Company was established, and in 1956, Morinaga created the Chewlet, the prototype for Hi-Chews, which were introduced in 1975. Since then, over 170 flavors of the chewy, fruity candy have been made, many of which you can find in our selection of Hi-Chew products!
