A DIY Valentine's Card Treat!

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, it’s never too early to start working on some cute Valentine’s Day cards for the kids to hand out. Instead of buying prepackaged cards for your kids to hand out on February 14th, why not make your own cute chocolate treat? Here is a fun and easy Valentine’s day craft for the kids to help you with and one that they can hand out to their classmates and teachers for Valentine’s!

Here is a DIY on making a Valentine’s Day Tic Tac Toe board with Chocolate gem’s for the X’s and O’s!

What you will need for this DIY Valentine’s Day craft is as follows:

  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Small Plastic Bags (the one’s you can buy at a craft store)
  • A Printer
  • Two colors of Chocolate Gems (Any Valentine’s day color)
  • The two sided printable at bottom of post
  • Scissors or paper cutter
  • Pens

The first step to this craft is to mix the Chocolate Gems together. For example white and pink, white and red, or white and purple (whatever color combination you prefer!).

Then you can evenly divide the Chocolate Gems into the small bags and seal the bags. Set these aside to give out with the tic tac toe boards.

Next, you will print the tic tac toe board's front side onto the cardstock paper. Make sure to have pretty thick cardstock because you will be printing on both sides. Once you have printed the number of boards you need, let the print dry on the front side.

After the front side has dried, you can load the paper back in the printer to print the back side of the tic tac toe boards. Make sure the paper is loaded in your printer correctly to print on the opposite side that you have already printed on.

Finally, you will trim down your tic tac toe boards with a paper cutter or scissors and let the kids write their classmate's names on them along with their names!

This craft is a quick and unique way to create Valentine’s day treats. Not only is there a chocolate-y treat for the kids to enjoy, there is also an activity board along with a
“Happy Valentine’s Day” greeting!
